I’m sitting under a blanket as I write this. Today is the day we usually decorate our home but instead my husband and I spent the day decluttering my youngests’ rooms. It was long overdue and with the holiday season approaching I wanted to aleviate the clutter.
I have finished my shopping and most of my wrapping. This is a first for me and I am hoping that it will leave me to enjoy the weeks leading up to the holidays.
Yet I am depleted. I want to be merry and joyful but instead I am tired and in need of some creative restoration.
How about you?
Some things I am being drawn to are slow stitching, embroidery or hand stitching. I have a few projects on the go but I am really wanting to make some rag dolls for myself. Something about hand stiching some teeny little dolls and accessories feels so nice. One pattern I picked up tonight is from Ann Wood and you can find it here.
I’m also planning on making one of her free patterns which is the “very nice mice” pattern. I just might have to make them their own little house too. Something that looks like a tree base maybe and is made from cardboard. I’ll be sharing both of these projects over on my dollhouse channel if you would like to follow along and of course here and on my blog.
I am working on sharing some studio vlogs on my main channel and hope to have one up next week along with my regular content. Creating content regularly-written and video feels really important to me and goes along well with this sense of calm and cozy I’m trying to cultivate.
If you missed my Instagram post I launched my first creative kit this week. Perfect for all your holiday memories and journaling activites and also a wonderful gift for you or another creative. I have wanted to curate a kit for the longest time and I am so proud of this one. Washi tape, watercolors, a journal and other decorative items make this a perfect kit to take with you when you are out and about of curled up on the sofa. I did a video here and you can shop the kit on my Ko-fi site or on Etsy. As a subscriber to my newsletter you can get 10% off the purchase of your kit through Cyber Monday by entering coupon code: “SUPPORTERLOVE” at checkout.
I am also offering 25% off all items in my shop (excluding the kit) from Saturday through Cyber Monday. Just enter code: SHOPSMALLSATURDAY at checkout.
I hope you can spend some crafty time this weekend. Maybe together we can rest, relax and make some pretties for ourselves. I hope that November winds down just as you hope. Sending you much love!
Until next time…
